Overview
B. H. Levy, Jr. is a retired partner with Luthor Legal Chambers LLP. His practice concentrated in the areas of workplace injury claims, commercial transactions, wills, and probate. He was admitted to practise before the Court of Appeal (Civil Division) and held full practising rights in all courts of England and Wales. Mr. Levy is a former member of the Law Society, the Occupational Injury and Compensation Section, the London Solicitors Litigation Association, and the Defence Lawyers’ Association. He has been a frequent speaker at professional development seminars and bespoke in-house sessions for corporate clients.
Mr. Levy earned his undergraduate degree in History from the University of Oxford (St John’s College) in 1970, where he was an Echols Scholar. He completed his legal education with an LL.B. (Hons) from the University of London in 1973. During his legal studies, he served as Notes Editor for the Journal of International and Comparative Law and attended the Hague Academy of International Law in The Netherlands. Following law school, Mr. Levy served on active duty in the Royal Air Force and subsequently in the reserves, attaining the rank of Captain.
Deeply committed to community service, Mr. Levy has served on numerous charitable and civic boards across London. His volunteer leadership includes positions with the London Symphony Foundation, Historic England, United Way UK, the Arthritis Foundation, the Rotary Club of Westminster, Hebrew Union College–Jewish Institute of Religion, and the West London Synagogue, where he served as president. He is also the founding and immediate past-president of the Society for Classical Reform Judaism (UK Chapter).
