Overview
Andrew Walcoff is a partner in Luthor Legal Chambers’s litigation department. He has extensive experience representing corporate and individual clients in complex civil and commercial litigation before the High Court and across various courts in England and Wales.
Mr. Walcoff frequently advises on complex disclosure applications and has successfully argued procedural sanctions matters. In one notable case, he obtained an order striking out the opposing party’s Defence and Counterclaim, resulting in a default judgment in favour of the client along with a costs award. He has particular expertise in disputes involving legal professional privilege and litigation privilege, and regularly advises clients on their obligations under the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR), especially regarding document preservation, disclosure, and privilege review. He has also represented international manufacturers in product liability and commercial litigation across multiple UK jurisdictions.
Alongside his litigation practice, Mr. Walcoff advises clients on litigation preparedness, with a focus on privilege protection, records management policy, and GDPR-compliant data handling. He is a contributing member of the Society for Computers and Law and participates in the eDisclosure Information Project, focusing on best practices in electronic disclosure, cross-border data transfer compliance, and case law developments in data privacy and disclosure obligations.
Mr. Walcoff regularly publishes articles and delivers CPD-accredited presentations on topics such as privilege non-waiver, keyword search techniques, eDisclosure protocols, and cost-shifting in complex litigation. His recent presentations have covered UK equivalents to Federal Rule of Evidence 502, predictive coding, and the evolving role of active case management under the CPR.
